Acne Removal
By The_Drizzle
Almost everyone in our society is affected by acne at one point or another in their lives. Whether it is the occasional pimple, heavy breakouts, or the scars left over from teenage breakouts, knowing how to remove acne can help make you complexion, clearer, cleaner, and more confident.
There are many different methods of acne removal out there today. There are over the counter products available at nearly every grocery and drug store, prescription medications, laser treatments, and scar removal methods. It can take quite a bit of research on different websites to find out all the information you need to effectively remove acne for good.
Acne Removal Products
There are a wide range of acne removal products on the market today. These range from acne bar soap to acne fighting creams to facial masks and are available at almost any drugstore or grocery store. No matter what type of product you opt for it should have several characteristics. It should first and foremost clean all the oil and dirt off of your face. After that, it should be gentle enough not to irritate your skin, but strong enough that it completely removes the excess oils from your face.
Better products should also help to heal blemishes and kill the bacteria that cause acne.
One good acne tip is to figure out what your skin type is and make an estimate of which soaps would be best for your skin. Any soap you use should be dermatologist recommended. Also consider using an exfoliant to further remove the dead skin cells and small particles of grime that can cause pimples to form.
Laser Acne Removal
Treating acne scars and blemishes through the use of acne laser treatments has become an incredibly popular procedure. There are two types of laser treatments, ablative and non-ablative lasers. Ablative lasers are more invasive but generally more effective. They burn off the top layer of your skin through the use of a highly concentrated beam of light. This gets rid of blemishes and scar tissue and lets new collagen and skin grow in its place.
Non-ablative lasers heat up the dermis, or middle layer of your skin. These are less invasive and only involve a few hours of redness as opposed to the seven to ten day recovery time required of ablative procedures. The procedure encourages the production of collagen, which helps indirectly heal the outer layer of skin. These treatments may not be as effective however, and may require more treatments to be effective. Check with your dermatologist to see which procedure would benefit you the most.
Remove Acne Scar
Researching how to get rid of red acne scars can lead you down many different roads. If the scar is new or just healing, natural remedies may help it fade and eventually disappear. Two of the most popular natural methods for getting rid of acne scars are to rub olive oil on the affected area four times a day or breaking a Vitamin E capsule open and rubbing the Vitamin E directly on the scar. Vitamin E is an essential antioxidant that gets toxins out of your body and is essential to maintaining healthy skin. Rubbing it directly on the area can help stimulate healing. Olive oil also contains many vitamins and essential fats your body needs and having them absorbed right into the scarred area can help your body heal scar tissue quicker.
Over the counter topical creams can also help heal and fade acne scars, but these are also most effective for either lighter or newly formed scars. If you have a deep scar, your only option to completely get rid of a scar may be a surgical procedure.
Other than laser resurfacing, there are several other methods of acne removal surgery. Chemical peels are one option. They remove the top layer of skin though the use of special chemicals. Two other popular procedures are dermal fillers and grafts. In dermal fillers, the doctor injects your skin with fake skin made of human or animal fat that removes the scar. The downside of this is that it is only temporary and may need to be redone. When you have a punch graft done, the doctor actually cuts out the scarred tissue and replaces it with skin from another place on your body. This produces a new scar, but with the right doctor the incision will be barely noticeable, if it is noticeable at all.
There are many different options for acne removal. Whether you have scars, blemishes, or suffer from frequent breakouts, there’s more options available to you today than ever. Consult with your dermatologist and figure out what solutions are before for you and your skin.
